As we enter this season of Thanksgiving we are reminded of Paul’s heart of thankfulness regarding his new birth, which he continually decreed to all: “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved breather, be steadfast, immovable, always abound in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord, (1 Corinthians 15:57-8)

Whether he was teaching the Corinthians’ community regarding the mystery of the resurrection or he was introducing them to New Covenant understanding with Holy Spirit, he was always inclined to remind us that our adequacy and supply always comes from God. It seems to be our human nature to trust in our own abilities; however, Paul is steadfast in reminding us our hope and provision always flows from God, for He is Jehovah Jireh.

Much like the days of Paul, we are witnessing great fear, confusion, sadness and discouragement with obstacles and sinister events appearing almost daily. However, even in the midst of such evil and fear, God is continually revealing His love, glory, and provision giving encouragement and infusing His people with strength and hope. Like Paul, we give thanks to God, “who always leads us in His triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place,” (2 Corinthians 2:14).

We pray for you, our Covenant family and partners, that you are continually encouraged in His grace and love; and may you be blessed this holiday season in every area of your life.

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13)

In His love,

Richard and Becky
