Richard and Rebecca Maisenbacher are founders of Covenant Outreach Ministries, Inc. In ministry for over 30 years, they have served as elders and board members of various churches, as well as facilitated numerous home groups and classes.
The Maisenbachers are dedicated to bringing freedom and wholeness to the wounded and captive through healing, restoration and reconciliation. They desire to see each person trained, equipped, and activated to serve in the Kingdom as they fulfill their destiny. Richard and Becky encourage and support individuals to grow in wisdom, maturity, holiness, character, and the prophetic. They are committed to seeing the Creative Arts returned to the Body, God's glory revealed through each believer upon the earth, and His church unified.
Richard Maisenbacher was born in Columbus, Ohio and began a walk with the Lord in 1977. When he was 28, he began attending a traditional church and received the baptism in the Spirit a year later. After participating in everything available in his church, he began to see that many of the requirements placed on him did not line up with his understanding of the Bible. In 1988, Richard and his family moved to Florida to pursue prophetic training, igniting a quest to learn more about hearing God, healing, relationships and deliverance.
Richard and his wife, Rebecca, incorporated Covenant Outreach Ministries in 1999, and began a house group meeting in 2002 with the goal of facilitating spiritual training. Initially, the group of 7 studied together with a focus on healing and the prophetic. Though the ministry has grown, Richard’s focus remains the same. His heart is to see people healed and trained as they pursue a closer walk with Christ based in a deeper understanding of the covenant relationship we have with Him.
He is a graduate of Ball State University in Business and Physical Education. He completed his Masters Degree in School Counseling from St. Francis College; his ministry degree from King's Way Bible Institute; and received a Master of Christian Counseling from Christian International Graduate School of Ministry. Richard is ordained through Covenant Ministries under Randi and Cathy Lechner, and has also received extensive training through Streams Ministries with John Paul Jackson. He has spent over 27 years in the school system as a guidance counselor, and was a tennis teaching professional for 14 years. Currently, he oversees The Covenant Center and is an adjunct professor at Southeastern University.
Richard is writing two books for upcoming release: How to Facilitate a 1 Corinthians 14:26 Meeting and Winning Strategies No Matter What Life Serves You.
Rebecca Maisenbacher was born in Louisville, Kentucky and raised in Southern Indiana. Rebecca gave her heart to the Lord at four years of age. She attended Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana and received a B.S. degree in Speech Pathology and Library Science. She earned a Master’s Degree in Exceptional Student Education from St. Francis University in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. In 1970, she was a Miss Indiana finalist and Ball State University Homecoming Queen.
Rebecca worked in public education for 28 years as a Speech Language Therapist, Special Education Teacher and Librarian. During her educational career, she was honored twice as Teacher of the Year and was recognized as a finalist for Polk County Florida Teacher of the Year.
