The Covenant Center

Mark and Susan Goodman were ordained by The Covenant center in April of 2008. They were married in April 2000, and for the past 8 years they have seen God take their individual ministries and forge them together as one. They believe their recent ordination was God releasing them in a new direction.

Mark was born into a Jewish home in New York, and the family moved to New Jersey when he was 5 years old. At 19, he went to Vietnam and came back a broken man, addicted to drugs. In 1971, Mark went into the Teen Challenge, where God saved him and set him free. He founded and directed a Teen Challenge Center in Jacksonville, Florida in the early 1980’s, and then went on to found and direct Teen Challenge in the Bahamas. He is the founder and President of Oasis Outreach Inc. Through this ministry Mark has been used to dispense food, clothes, furniture and Jesus to those in need. Mark is a street evangelist and is always willing to stop and share the Lord and food with anyone he sees who needs help. God also uses him in a ministry of encouragement particularly to young people. Mark's desire is to see them free of religious constraints and able to pursue Jesus with all their heart.

Susan was born in Cyprus and grew up In the United Kingdom. At age 15, God called her to be a missionary and gave her the scripture in Colossians 3:17: "And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him." (NKJV)

In 1978, Susan graduated and was ordained by Faith Acres Bible School in Scotland. In 1993, she graduated from Glasgow University in Scotland with a Masters Degree in Social Science. Susan has an endorsement in Counseling from The Covenant Center. As a missionary she has had the privilege to serve the Lord in many places including Iceland, Europe, and the USA. She served for 1 year in Sierra Leone, West Africa. She is the Administrator and a board member of Oasis Outreach Inc. Susan has a heart for the lost, and God has used her over the years to reach some hopeless cases. Nothing is too difficult for the Lord.

Together Mark and Susan are moving forward as the Lord directs, they are excited to see how God is going to use their unique and individual callings together in a greater way.
